Rivers: Hoodlums destroy house of Governor Wike’s aide

Some hoodlums, suspected to be cultists, have reportedly burnt down the family house of Victor Dennis Ekaro, a Special Adviser to Governor Nyesom Wike, at Ihuwo community in Ahoada-East local government area of Rivers State.

The attack on Ekaro’s family home came less than 24 hours after suspected cultists invaded the community and allegedly murdered about three youths, said to be members of a rival cult group.
Taking Journalists round the razed seven-room apartment on Sunday, the Governor’s aide alleged threat to his life by those who carried out the arson. He called on security agencies to help apprehend those behind the crime.
 
Ekaro said, “In the history of Ihuwo community, no such thing has happened before. This is the first time we saw that three youths were murdered in cold blood in this community by cultists.’’
