Ondo Fashion Week has just begun- Dayo Johnson



 
All is now set for the third edition of the Ondo Fashion Week as stakeholders in the fashion industry are brazing up for the biggest gathering of fashion entrepreneurs in the land.

The event which was first held in 2012 in Akure the Ondo state capital was created by Mrs. Adetutu Adejuuyigbe with the trade mark name 609 media concepts with another model agency in Ondo state, WALKS academy working in partnership to achieve a successful maiden event.

In 2013, the event returned with the second edition expectedly with a wider participation and scope as it truly lived up to the billing of what is observed in bigger cities like, Lagos, Abuja and Porthacourt and the likes and it was there and the that stakeholders endorsed the Ondo fashion week as an event that has come to stay.

Two years after, the event did not hold after the main organizer travelled out of the country but the event is back in town and expected to be the biggest yet, with models from both within and outside Ondo state already signifying their participation, while other fashion entrepreneurs and fashionista are already anticipating the main event.

According to the organisers the third edition is expected feature over 100 models, about 30 fashion designers, makeup companies, makeup artists, leather works manufacturers, bead makers, jewellers and fabric makes from across the country.

The main event slated for 23rd, October 2016 will be preceded by a series of events including the casting of models, models photo shoot session art exhibition, round-the-city tour of models and other stakeholders, while the main event will feature red carpet, top and upcoming artistes as well as top comedians to spice up the night.
