It is important for us to remember that we are only caretakers of our children and not the Lord and master of their destinies.
Often times parents want to control the destinies of their kids and neglect what gifts / dreams God has put in them.. we want them to become what "we" want them to be and not what they envision for themselves. Remember that only God can reveal what he has in store for you, parents can only guide and support through the process.

Raise your children to know God and allow them blossom into the fullness of their dreams and destinies. If he has a passion for sports, Nurture it and support it! He doesnt have to become a medical Dr or Banker like "you" want him to.
God has a purpose to use each and everyone of us in the individual fields that he has placed us "All to / For His Glory".
